A Satellite-Based Land Use Regression Model of Ambient NO2 with High Spatial Resolution in a Chinese City

Previous studies have reported that intra-urban variability of NO2 concentrations is even higher than inter-urban variability. In recent years, an increasing number developed satellite-derived land use regression (LUR) models to predict ground-level concentrations, though only a few been conducted at city scale. this study, we LUR model seasonal scale by including satellite-retrieved tropospheric column density, population traffic indicators, and NOx emission data. The R2 fitting 10-fold cross validation were 0.70 0.61 for the model, respectively. satellite-based captured patterns fine gradients variations 100 m × resolution demonstrated pollution in winter 1.46 times summer. declined significantly with distance from roads center. Suzhou, 84% total lived areas exceeding annual-mean standard 40 ?g/m3 2014. This study data could help increase accuracy temporal traditional application support exposure assessment high future epidemiological policy development pertaining air quality control.
